When people hear about our facility and program, and learn more about who we are set up to help, they become very interested and engaged. The encouragement is so appreciated, and we are truly thankful for every ounce of it. Many people immediately want to know "how can I help!?" We are overwhelmed with the generosity of people, and their desire to help us help those who help others.
For those individuals and families who have requested more information about ways they can be part of the program, we offer a few suggestions below.
Please be aware that The Stable Grounds is a “for profit corporation” providing services to those suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Injury (PTSI). The corporation is not a registered charity and any contributions to the corporation may not be claimed as a charitable donation for income tax purposes. Your business or corporation may be able to claim a contribution as a business expense however The Stable Grounds cannot guarantee that this contribution will be deductible for business purposes as that is dependent upon your individual circumstances. Contributions will be used by the corporation for assistance in funding the operations of the business.
Support a First Responder
In some cases, the people who need help the most don't have coverage or the finances to get the help. By donating to sponsor a First Responder, you will help offset the cost of their treatment and make it possible for us to accept someone who can't afford it on their own.
Befriend one of our Horses
You can help support our Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy program by donating to purchase "hay for a day" or "feed for a week" for one of our horses. Or, sponsor a stall in the horse barn for a year, which includes food, supplies and vet coverage.
Sponsor a Room at the Farm
Sponsor one of our bedrooms, with the option of having the room named after your family or in memory of a loved one.
Seeds & Soil Program
Help support our garden program, which is a vital activity for our guests. Your donation will help purchase seeds, seedlings, soil and organic fertilizers.
